Promotional Video for SAID – Serviced Apartments In Dublin
We recently finished a promotional video for Serviced Apartments in Dublin, short term letting specialists in Dublin City.
They wanted a promotional video to showcase a little of what someone might experience during a stay at one of their serviced apartments in the Dublin City centre. We had a short mid-morning shoot where we explored the property, and used the model to help create a human attachment with the property. SAID have very modern clean apartments with all modern conveniences, and we used a deliberate contemporary visual style while shooting to reflect this. We wanted to showcase the tranquil location in the middle of the big city. We also wanted to reflect the peace one might expect while staying there, combined with great access to the central business districts. This is vital for anyone who intends to visit Dublin City on an extended business trip, but wants the freedom and resources of their own apartment without the commute or travel times in and out of the city.
We shot it using the Freefly Movi M10 and the Panasonic GH4 in and around this apartment in the city centre. This kit was light and flexible, while still providing high quality video, and suited the job perfectly. We could plan and execute shots quickly and produce a number of takes without wasting too much time. We were able to capture a number of run-and-gun shots near the location to provide some context to the central location, and we employed the GH4’s excellent in-camera timelapse feature for production value.
This project happened as part of our Property Visuals business.

We’ve a brand new live music video project to showcase, this time around we have a live studio session with Bluemoose, one of Ireland’s leading party and cover bands. The session brought us back to the exciting Grouse Lodge Studios once again, which has always looked after us so well and given us some great footage down through the years.
Bluemoose are an exceptional cover act, with tons or raw talent and energy. This is the first video from the session, a cover of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’. I don’t mind saying I prefer Bluemoose’s version to the original, nor do I imagine I’ll be on my own with that, it’s a great version. We had fun lighting the studio and working out the blocking. We employed the Movi Freefly once again with the Panasonic GH4, which was as always a winning combination – as well as some Sonys for various locked off angles.
Kudos to Eoin Delaney from Directing Media for coming down with us to the shoot, he was as usual a huge help and a vital part of the crew.
We’ll have more coming from this session over the next few days and weeks as we shot five videos in total with the lads.
Getting married? Need a Wedding Band? Well check out our latest music video with Pink Champagne for some inspiration.
Pink Champagne are an award winning four piece wedding band with a really strong reputation and a lot of style. They’ve previously won both ‘Wedding Band of The Year’, and ‘Dublin Wedding Band of the Year’, and they’ve been nominated for the top slot a ton of times.
The shoot was really fun and energetic as you can tell from the video. To get this fluid dynamic movement, we used the Freefly Movi M10 handheld stabiliser supplied by Movi.ie. We shot on the Panasonic GH4 and had the GH2 as ‘B’ cam. Eoin Delaney from ‘Directing Media‘ was on set to help produce the video, help with the Movi operation and handled ‘B’ cam. Our lighting and lenses were supplied by Film Equipment Hire, which gave us an incredible setup overall. Once everything was set up and lit, we just started rolling and blew through the whole shoot in a few hours. This helped keep the energy up for the band and the crew.
Both ourselves and Directing Media have been working with the Movi gimbal quite a bit since the Spring and we’ve gotten really familiar with the process and everything that’s required to make the most of it. We’re really proud of the video, and we’re looking forward to shooting with this kind of cutting edge gear again soon.
